to Mariners. The Harbour
Authority sends out notices to
mariners to warn of obstructions,
shifting channels, new navigation
marks etc. These can be accessed
by clicking HERE.
You can let the Harbour
Office know if you'd like to
receive these personally by
email. The latest, No.22, warns
of a wreck which is shifting into
the channel by Lincombe Boat Yard
and marked with a white buoy. UPDATE:
12 January 2012. No.1 notice of
2012 advises that the wreck is no
longer a threat.
On production of an
up-to-date KEBC membership card,
members will be given 10%

West Maritime
Archaeological Group
At the first indoor
meeting of 2012 we were
given an intriguing
insight into the work of
the South West Maritime
Archaeological Group,
based locally.Although
they spend some of their
time under water, it
seems that a great deal
more is spent above it,
researching the histories
of artefacts they find,
following various threads
and linking events.
Thanks to them. We hope
to see them back.
